Vote!

So I feel like I haven't been pulling out the good 'ol camera and taking as many shots. Are they missed? Should I attempt another photo project? Like mabye instead of a daily one a weekly one? Any thoughts?

Kylie's 1st haircut

The girls and I drove down to visit Auntie Sis for a few minutes this morning. We haven't seen her in a week or two and we'll be gone this weekend so I decided that would be our morning outing. Well, she asked if we weren't busy to wait a few minutes and she would cut the girls' hair. I was unprepared camera wise! Kenzie got her ends trimmed, curled, and a beautiful french braid. Kylie got her 1st haircut! She sat great on my lap and patiently let her skraggly ends be snipped off. She looks so cute! However, she was not too into the camera this afternoon when I remembered. They got to sleep late last night and had a late nap so I think she's just too sleepy to care about the camera. But, I had to share so you get what you get, folks!

Lance & I took the girls to Ocean Shores about 3 weeks ago. We had some unusually hot weather here and once Saturday hit we drove to the beach to beat the heat. Odd thing about WA is that the one hour drive dropped about 30 degrees on the thermometer. The girls loved playing in the water but we had to stop them they were shivering so bad. So we moved on to building things in the sand...or making pancakes and slides as the girls told us.

Dance, dance, dance

We went down to Oregon City a few weeks ago amidst the start of their massive heat wave. No problem! Kenzie and Kylie, along with Grandma, jumped right into the sprinkler to cool off! They were also anxious to wake up the next day and help Grandad Martin water all of the flowers and I think the veggies, too. Such patience they have! And to top it all of, Lance and I got to sneak out for dinner alone. What a weekend!

I am particurally impressed with these pictures for one reason: Lance is the sole photographer! I think he did an amazing job and got some great accidental shots, too. Good job, babe!

July was a hot month here in WA. We got lots of use out of the girls' swimsuits. This afternoon while letting them explore the sprinkler I decided to grab the camer and document the fun. These kids are crazy. They don't even want to stop when they are shivering cold.
