Strawberries

So we have been taking full advantage of having Spooner's Strawberries basically in our backyard. I've tried my hand at homemade freezer jam and we are stocking up on it! Any other good suggestions for strawberries?

Tall Ships in Oly

This past Saturday Lance's mom and step-dad drove up to spend the early part of the day with us. Even though Lance went to college up here, they hadn't ever really explored much of Olympia or experienced downtown Oly. Much to our luck, a few of the Tall Ships that are usually ported in Aberdeen where up here and offering tours. Thank goodness I sprung and replaced my point and shoot and now carry it in my purse!

Patty and Martin got the walking tour of the Farmer's Market and even a bit of the basic downtown. They were surprised at how nice it all is and seemed to really enjoy it. We had fun since we don't make it down to the water or downtown all that often. We ended our festivities with a lunch at Tug Boat Annie's and then a trip to Johnson's Smokehouse where they stocked up before heading home.

a long time!

I always have such great intentions of keeping up with the blog here but for some reason, I just can't seem to keep in the swing of things. Not sure if its just the business of life now days, working again, or what. Anyhow, here are a few current pics of the girls. Enjoy!

Weekend Fun with Grandma & Granddad

The girls found some pedicure supplies and convinced Grandma to paint their toe nails before nap time. Once awake, Kylie ran to Grandma crying asking where her finger nail polish had gone to. As you can see, Grandma took care of that problem

Snuggling with Granddad watching a movie

We headed down to Oregon City last weekend to spend a little R&R with Lance's family. As always, the girls were ecstatic to spend time with everyone. We had a great visit. Kylie did well with her potty training. We are still having an occasional accident, but you have to learn somehow, right?

PT Day 3/3

Well Kylie and I both survived the full 3 days of the 3 Day potty training method successfully. She just has a few things we need to do to tweak if to fully but no pee pee accidents in 2 full days, dry at naps, and dry last night. She is enjoying her sticker chart reward system and overall very excited.
Today to test her new found freedom out, we ventured out of the house in undies for the trip to the grocery store. She was cautious to agree at first but then "O.....K.....". Reluctant but successful! I'm sure there will be accidents in our future but I think this kiddos got it!

PT Day 2/3

I must express my pride in Miss Kylie. Today was an excellent day. She went to church with a pull up and even used the potty when the nursery workers asked her. Came home dry. Went on the potty all day. Zero pee pee accidents. However, the other habit leaves a bit of work left. She knew when she had to go and asked twice but didn't have the patience to wait for the deed to be done. Oh well, we can manage that one! :)
